Mangaluru City Corporation: Property tax collection; 75 percent target achieved in just six months
The first half of the current financial year has concluded, and the Mangaluru City Corporation has already reached 75 percent of its property tax collection target.
Continuous campaigns and door-to-door visits to create awareness were already undertaken by the corporation regarding property tax collection. As a result, tax collection is happening at the expected level. Property tax is the primary source of the corporation's total revenue, with a total of 2,22,256 properties falling under its jurisdiction.
